Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you have back-up equipment and insurance? A: Yes, of course, I’m over-prepared and ready to go!
Q: Are we able to see any photos before the online gallery is sent? A: Yes! You'll get a quick sneak peek (a few photos) within 3 days of the shoot.
Q: Do you expect us to include meals on the day-of? A: This is actually something that is often overlooked! The answer is yes, as it prevents us photographers (and humans!) from fainting while capturing precious memories - being well-nourished also means that I am able to provide you with my best quality work.
Most photographers do include this in their contract as if we're not fed by you, it means we'd have to go off-site and grab food ourselves. This wouldn't be ideal as we'd be gone and might miss capturing something.
Q: How many final images will we get? A: I always make sure to include a variety of photos to re-ignite the feelings behind the whole session, and include as many photos as I can. This can range from 40-70 images per hour. These all come ready-to-print! I also include extra images on top of this number whenever I can.
Q: Do you have back-up equipment and insurance? A: Yes, of course, I’m over-prepared and ready to go!
Q: Do you make prints & albums? A: Yes, I do! Some packages include a premium lay-flat album as an option. Let me know if you’d like a linen/fabric or vegan leather cover. I can send colour swatches over too!
Q: Can I get my photos on a USB/CD? A: Of course, USBs and CD add-ons are $10 each.
Q: What are your travel costs if we're not getting married in Toronto? A: Traveling is one of my favourite things! For driving, I typically charge $0.55 per km of driving if your event is outside of Toronto. Out of the area completely? Let's talk more! I’ve traveled all over and am already excited for the trip!
Q: How do we book our date with you? A: A 50% deposit and signed contract confirms your date with me, and all of this can be done through a computer. Email me when you're ready for both - I’m also happy to offer payment plans if you’d like this option.
Engagement or Proposal Shoot
This is so much more than just taking nice photos - an engagement or proposal session captures your every day moments. That's a pretty special thing! Up to 1.5 hours of couples portraits and adventuring around together, wherever you want to go. After you book, I'll help you with things like location ideas, what to expect and what to wear during your shoot.
Should a session not already be included or you'd like it a-la-carte, engagements start at $250 for 1.5 hours.
Second Photographer
“Should a second photographer be there? Do we even need one?”
I'm more than comfortable being the only photographer, but if you're planning on a large guest list or multiple locations I recommend bringing on another set of eyes to cover more moments (eg. one photographer for each of you when you’re getting ready).
Adding a second photographer starts at $300 for 6 hours.
add on: Pre-Event coverage
Some of the best memories of your wedding happen the night before your wedding at your rehearsal dinner or at a wedding shower, etc - all of your family and close friends in one place, with the toasts, the kids, the food. Whether you want the event itself covered, or the dinner/lunch, or both, this is something we can definitely make happen!
Rehearsal dinner coverage starts at $200 for two hours as an add-on to your existing package.
Hourly Rate
Want to create your own wedding package? This is the bare-bones option - typically most couples range from 6 to 10 hours for day-of wedding coverage. Eight hours will usually span from the getting ready to the first half hour of speeches/dancing. In our in-person or phone/Skype consultation, we can talk through all of this to figure out what is best for you.
Extra hours begin at $325/hour and can be added on to any package at any time.
